Shining a spotlight on what health care can do
About AcruxKC
Baptist Medical Center merged with Trinity Lutheran Hospital in 2002 to create Baptist-Lutheran Medical Center, a Health Midwest hospital. A year later, for-profit health care system HCA acquired Health Midwest.
Baptist-Trinity Lutheran Legacy Foundation (BTLLF), a standalone public charity, honored the hospitals and their foundations. For over 20 years, BTLLF upheld the traditions of Baptist and Trinity, carrying on legacy programs and finding new ways to address the health needs of area residents.
In 2023, BTLLF changed its name to AcruxKC—and renewed its commitment to our bi-state Kansas City region. We honor and leverage our rich heritage, community partnerships, and technology to facilitate access to physical and behavioral health care and medical education.
