AcruxKC partners with selected programs, non-profits, and safety net clinics to award grant dollars from the following funds:

The Baptist Medical Center Arthritis Institute Fund awards support to non-profit organizations that provide direct services to individuals with arthritis. Recent grant awards have funded activities for adults and a summer camp program for children. The annual proposal deadline is the second Friday in October.

Lena Harrelson Green Testamentary Trust

The Lena Harrelson Green Testamentary Trust awards grant funds for the purchase of equipment for non-profit clinics and hospitals in Kansas City, Missouri. Recent awards have been used for the purchase or replacement of dental, diagnostic and surgical equipment. The annual grant opportunity is by invitation only. Organizations meeting the criteria that wish to be considered for inclusion may inquire by email. Recipient organizations that meet reporting requirements will typically be invited to apply in the following year. The annual proposal deadline is the third Friday in October.

W. Jack Stelmach Educational Endowment

W. Jack Stelmach, MD, was revered for his leadership of the formation of the Baptist Medical Center Family Medicine Residency program, now the Research Family Medicine Residency. Upon his death in 2012, an eponymous endowment fund was created to support enhancements to the Research Family Medicine Residency program. The investment proceeds from this fund provide grants that enrich programming, strengthen instruction, and purchase educational materials and supplies. Additionally, residents of the program may apply for funds to support mission trips to developing nations, where they provide medical care and gain valuable experience.
