Scholarships

Annually, AruxKC proudly bestows scholarships upon outstanding students.  This initiative reinforces our commitment to fostering a community of skilled medical professionals, dedicated to delivering essential healthcare services locally and beyond.

AcruxKC annually awards nursing scholarships for students enrolled in a traditional, accredited nursing program leading to a RN certification. The scholarships are awarded to full-time students who have and maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA, who have completed their prerequisite courses, and are in their last two years of their program. Students in accelerated and concurrent programs may also apply with certain restrictions.

Applicants may apply for one or both of our two available scholarships. AcruxKC nursing scholarships are provided by two legacy funds:

Trinity Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing Alumnae Fund

L. A. Hollinger, MD Scholarship Fund

Beyond our nursing scholarships, the L. A. Hollinger, MD Scholarship Fund annually honors the top achievers in each graduating class of Johnson County Community College’s Respiratory Care program. Recipients not only receive financial support for their respiratory therapy certification examination but also take a crucial stride toward earning the esteemed Registered Respiratory Therapy credential.  The awards stand as a tribute to the legacy of Dr. Hollinger, the visionary founder of the respiratory therapy program at Johnson County Community College, Overland Park, Kansas.
