AccessKC Health Assistance
Helping Individuals Get the Care They Need
Through our AccessKC program, we help individuals overcome financial barriers to healthcare. Our short-term medical assistance covers services such as eye exams, glasses, hearing aids, and other urgent medical needs.
What We Offer:
Support for short-term medical needs
Online voucher applications
Partner agency referrals for other healthcare support
How It Works:
Individuals can apply through a partner agency or online (for select services)
AcruxKC does not provide direct services—we coordinate funding and billing
Health Grants
Funding Community Health Solutions
AcruxKC partners with schools and nonprofit organizations to strengthen health outcomes across Kansas City. Our health grants provide targeted funding to support programs that expand access to care, improve community wellness, and promote innovative health initiatives.

Preventative care and wellness initiatives
Community-based health services and outreach
Who’s Eligible:
Accredited schools and 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations within the Kansas City region

We’re committed to empowering the next generation of healthcare providers. Through our education support programs, AcruxKC offers nursing scholarships, hosts the Recent Advances in Medicine Conference, and provides continuing medical education (CME) to providers and students alike.
Programs Include:
Nursing Scholarships – Trinity Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing Alumnae Fund & L.A. Hollinger, MD Fund
Orear Institute for Post-Graduate Studies – Host of the annual Recent Advances in Medicine Conference
14 CME Hours Available at the 2025 conference
