We award annual scholarships to promising students in the Kansas City region through two legacy funds. These scholarships are designed to reduce financial barriers and encourage excellence in nursing.

Trinity Lutheran Hospital

School of Nursing Alumnae Fund

Honoring the legacy of the Trinity Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing, this fund supports students who demonstrate academic success, financial need, and a passion for compassionate care.

L.A. Hollinger, MD Fund

Created to continue Dr. L.A. Hollinger’s dedication to healthcare and service, this fund is awarded to students pursuing careers in nursing or other health fields, with a focus on primary care and community impact.

Inpatient Rehabilitation Educational Fund

This fund provides professional development grants to:

  • Current staff of the Inpatient and Outpatient Rehabilitation Departments at Research Medical Center

  • Former rehabilitative staff of Baptist Medical Center or Baptist-Lutheran Medical Center

Support can be used for continuing education, training programs, and credentialing.

Recent Advances in Medicine Conference

Hosted by the Orear Institute for Post-Graduate Studies, this annual two-day conference delivers evidence-based, integrative education to:
