Inpatient Rehabilitation Educational Fund

Grants from this fund support staff of the Inpatient and Outpatient Rehabilitation departments of Research Medical Center.  Funds are also available to former rehabilitative staff of Baptist Medical Center or Baptist-Lutheran Medical Center.

Scholarships

Nursing Scholarships

Each year, AcruxKC awards nursing scholarships to students enrolled in a traditional, accredited nursing program that leads to RN certification. Scholarships are awarded to full-time students who achieve and maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA, who have completed their prerequisite courses, and who are in the final two years of their program. Students in accelerated and concurrent programs may apply with certain restrictions.

L. A. Hollinger, MD Scholarship Fund

Students may apply for one or both of AcruxKC’s nursing scholarships. Applications for 2025-2026 are closed.

NOTE: In 2026, nursing scholarship applications will be accepted from February 1 through March 15.

Pharmacy Scholarship 

The Baptist Trinity Legacy Scholarship is awarded annually to a pharmacy student in their 4th year (P4) at University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Pharmacy. The scholarship memorializes Baptist Medical Center and Trinity Lutheran Hospital. Respiratory Therapy Awards

Each year, the L. A. Hollinger, MD Scholarship Fund honors the top graduates of Johnson County Community College’s Respiratory Care program. Recipients receive financial support for their respiratory therapy certification examination. The awards are an enduring tribute to the legacy of Dr. Hollinger, who founded the program and served as its director from 1967 to 1991.
